One mans weed is another's gorgeous specimen. We collected seed from this plant along the side of a road in Costa Rica. Finally identified it and there's no documentation of it having any ornamental value... but what do they know? Going by the common name of "Asses' Salad" further supports its worthiness and need to be listed as an ornamental. Growing to a height of about a foot and making a nice dense clump of silver - grey above and downy white below, arrow shaped leaves about 8" long. Mid-season pale lavender - pink daisy-like composite blooms appear on thin wiry silver stems. Grow in full sun and average soil, can be on the dry side once established
